Arabella Country Club has been voted into South Africa's top 5 golf courses, it is also considered the best golf course in the entire Western Cape Province. The fine fairways and carefully laid bunkers of Arabella Country Club were designed by Pete Matkovich, a renowned South African golf course designer, in 1999. Arabella has even been rated amongst the 100 best courses outside of the US as compiled by Golf Digest USA. This outstanding golf course not only offers exquisite golfing but also a stunning views of the lagoon and out towards the Kogelberg Mountains. The brilliantly maintained fairways are kikuyu and the praise-worthy greens are of Dominant Bent. Arabella Country Club has always strived to be the best and thus numerous bunkers have been added through the years as well as the readjustment of the 6th hole which had a blind tee shot. The Arabella golf course is rated as follows: Professional – 73; Championship – 72; Club – 72 and Ladies – 72. The course lengths are: Professional – 6 381m; Championship – 6 082m, Club – 5 403m and Ladies – 5 017m. In all, the golf course has 70 bunkers and 8 acres of lakes. All 18 of the holes are enjoyable, so you can decide which your favorite is. Interestingly, each golf cart has ParView GPS so that you can find out the exact yardage to the green's center.

Each year since 2003, Arabella Golf Club has been hosting the famous Nelson Mandela Invitational charity tournament. This prestigious event has attracted celebrities such as Samuel L Jackson, Ernie Els, Tim Clark, Jack Ncklaus, Lee Westwood, Retief Goosen and Sam Torrance. All have made significant contributions towards the Player Foundation and Nelson Mandela Children’s Foundation.
