It was my birthday last week...I turned 1. And what an exciting year it has been for me. My Dad, Gareth (Davies), conceived me in July 2006 and with the help of my 2 uncles Craig (Hale) and Simon (Lait), they have been raising and nurturing me ever since.
My name is Babylite (my friends call me BB), and I am a baby accessory hire company. My Dad came up with the idea of me when he saw how much stuff parents have to take with them on holiday. I mean like they haven't got enough to think of already with just the kids...now they are expected to carry their car seats, travel cots and prams along whenever they go on holiday.
So Pops saw a way to help these poor parents out...and here I am!
I even got my own website! Dad designed it for me (along with some really clever people from a web design company) and it shows everyone exactly what I do. So back to the story...Dad wanted to help these parents out so I was created to do just that! On my website I have a list of all the baby products you could ever need....all available to hire! How great is that!!? Now you never again have to lug all that heavy baby equipment with you on holiday! Dads will be so happy that they now have space to take their golf clubs with them, and Moms will be even happier that they can now pack all those shoes they would have left behind to make room for the travel cot!
And guess what? My first little baby sister has just been born. Yip Dad has found someone to look after our first franchise! He said he didn't have enough time to run them all himself so now we have a new mommy that is going to look after my little sister at Joburg airport, and I am sure she is going to do great!
I am hoping to get a few more little brothers and sisters soon as Dad said that he was hoping to find some parents in George and PE to look after them. Imagine living down by the sea...that must be awesome.
Anyway I just wanted to tell you that its my birthday and I'll hire if I want to....
