Hello:

I just got done watching a movie starring a SA actors, James Ryan and Henry Cele. Are either one of these actors very popular in SA? And does anyone know if they have a website like other movie stars do? Thanks

Hi sigman69,

May I ask, what was the title of the movie?
I would say that the actors you mentioned, and SA actors in general, do have a following in the country. Unfortunately the SA film industry is not very well developed.
I'm not aware of any websites for the actors you mentioned.

Bye!

Thanks for replying to my message!!!

The movies were martial arts movies were called Kill or be killed and kill and kill again I believe they were made in the 1980's. I was trying to find on the net about him(james ryan) as I was wondering if he made other martial arts movies but I have been unable to locate anything. I just figured that he was popular over there, and I couldnt locate a website either. Any info that you could provide would be greatly appreciated.

Hi again,

I'm not too familiar with Ryan James. Henry Cele was a leading actor in a TV series, Shaka Zulu - about the life and times of the Zulu King Shaka. That made him quite popular.
Unfortunately I don't have any more info for you. Sorry!

I am an American and live in the US. The sorry but the actors name is James Ryan, not ryan james. well, maybe they arent that popular, I remember the other name of the video is karate olympia....it was made in 1976. I practice karate and thought the karate scenes were good,,,acting so-so. Anyway, thanks for the info.

Hello,I was doing an internet search on Karate Olympia and trying to find it on video tape under this title when I stumbled on your query.

Kill or be Killed is Karate olympia (you know this already) and the follow up Kill and Kill again. If you go to http://www.imdb.com and search for any of the above films, click on James Ryan and you'll see what he has been in, plus Ivan hall directed films.

Regards
Dean

Thanks for the information I will check it out, I cant believe that he wasnt or is popular there.... I believe that the film was made in Nimbia(spelling) because it showed the airport landing in Swapomund(sp) and I found out that was in Nimbia.

Thanks

John
