I've been wondering why Fred's been so quiet lately. Maybe he is off somewhere trying to figure out some names of African tribes. Think so?

Hey everyone,
I'm just a pitiful American from Kentucky and even I knew that Afrikaans is a Dutch derivative language! Poor Fred. Please though, don't use it all the time. I know a few words (Fred is "mal" for example), but I can't keep up with the conversation if you use it all the time. Thanks!

It will be good not to talk about politics and race for once on this noticeboard. It would be good to hear about countries and it's people, work opportunities, hobbies , social life etc.
cheers

It is difficult not to mention politics if you are a South African. Because of the mix of cultures and the history of our country, you are almost forced to mention an aspect of politics.
However I live in Cape Town, the most scenic city in South Africa ...and the best!!(sorry Hayley)
Surrounded by two oceans, with Table mountain as a backdrop, what more can you want.

I do agree with you regarding politics but don't the people get sick and tired of argueing about the different races.
By the way, just a little bit of challenge, I think that Sydney has the best harbour.
cheers mate

Hi there my name is Sigurður Grétar and I'm from Iceland. I've seen pictures of Cape Town from the url: suidafrika.com and liked what I saw. It really is beautiful.

Hi there all. Can anyone join this fraternity of three? It would seem that there are a few pretty bored people out there. I am not one. I hale from Parktown, travelling the world, in the mean time working in Ireland. My Afrikaans is nie te goed nie, maar ek kan seker probeer.

Some of the Koh Samui villas are set on peaceful hills adjoining sea. So, when a sea wave hits the big boulders below, you are actually able to experience some butterflies in your stomachs. Such is the experience of the exotic locales where these Samui villas are located. The villas are located in peaceful places, but not much far from action. You can anytime visit the flee market to buy exotic sea shells, or belts made from fish’s skin for you dear and near ones.
