Mieliepap has to be eaten with one's hands, that's true. It creates a certain feeling which is difficult to describe, just try it.

Does anyone know a someone owning a South African store with original stuff from home. I know Biltong is out of the question but how about i-Atcha???
Has anyone ever tasted USA 'Beef Jerky' trying to substitute for Biltong...it is not a pleasant experience.

Hey I'll even make my own Biltong if someone would tell me how.PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEASE!!!!!!!

Hi Ricky,

I miss SA so much too. I wish that I stayed there but then again if I never moved overseas I would have never ever realised how beautiful SA was (you know the old saying). I would love to go back, and I have been back 3 times, the last time I was there I stayed 3 months. I miss it, expecially the food! The other night I got my boyfriend to make me mash, chutney and chops, that is a dish my mum made for me all the time. Have u ever tasted rissoles? That is another nice SA dish, and very delicious! It's nice to see people missing home, because that is what SA is to me, home.

and how could I forget about bunny chow???? That is the most delicious thing!! You guys must miss it as much as me! There is a lady here in Sydney who imports SA food, and makes samosas, roti and mutton curry. I went there the other day and bought everything I could in the store! Kool Aid, Taystee Wheat, Boudiour Biscuots, Eet Sum Mors, Biltong, Mango Atchar, Samp, Grape Fanta, Ceres Juice, Tex Mex Bars, and plan to go back for more!

Some of the Koh Samui villas are set on peaceful hills adjoining sea. So, when a sea wave hits the big boulders below, you are actually able to experience some butterflies in your stomachs. Such is the experience of the exotic locales where these Samui villas are located. The villas are located in peaceful places, but not much far from action. You can anytime visit the flee market to buy exotic sea shells, or belts made from fish’s skin for you dear and near ones.
