Zimbabwe's president has now declared, at the Joburg WSSD, that he regards Zim as his personal property and fiefdom. Now we know why he does as he pleases. After 20 years of rule, what can one expect?

I can see that you are still upset over the fact that the white farmers were evicted. Get over it, and focus on South Africa.

There was nothing in Mugabe's speech which stated that Zimbabwe now belongs to him. This is another simplistic interpretation of an expression used by a highly educated man to drive home his point that colonial powers such as Britain's Tony Blair continue to harbour racist views and policies in much the same way as most of their constituents. Enough is enough.

I definitely agree with you Nubianman. They are trying to make him look like Hitler in the press. President Mugabe is a 78 year old man, who has endured much hardship in his land, including being put in prison by the racist Rhodesia government.
White South Africans would have said the same thing if it was Mandela who was redistributing the wealth. I respect Mugabe because he has not bowed down to the wishes of the west, instead he has taken land from the whites, and has returned it to the indigenous people. The U.S. is considering economic sanctions against him for doing this, but he does not care, because he is doing what is right. I just hope the other African leaders follow his lead, and not be afraid of the west.

Let it be noted
Two black Americans so far removed from African culture that they cant even call them selves African, are so blinded by revenge, that they dont care at what cost land is redistributed, and so are in effect supporting the death of millions of africans through starvation... nice to know you guys really care.

Jaybang,
You are such a liar, it is unreal. How can you imply that Mugabe is the cause of the famine in Zimbabwe when it is well known that the country has suffered the worst drought in its history and has also been the subject of unjusfiable sanctions by your western comrades in arms.
Is Mugabe in charge of Malawi as well. Has there been any land seizures in that country. Please get your facts right. Also it is well known that the produce of the white farms in Zimbabwe is mainly exported and does not feed the indigenious population.

Okay Nubes... I stand corrected...
Two black Americans so far removed from African culture that they cant even call them selves African, are so blinded by revenge, that they don't care at what cost land is redistributed, and so are in effect supporting the death of millions of Africans.
nice to know you guys really care.
So Zimbabwe is going through its biggest drought... and what Mugabe is doing is taking this factor into consideration? So he is only adding another problem, on top of an existing problem !!! Now that's clever.. or selfish?
Quote by Nubes...
Also it is well known that the produce of the white farms in Zimbabwe is mainly exported and does not feed the indigenious (sp? ..from your ridicule of my spelling , I thought you would make the effort to at least check your own..lol ) population.
If the produce of Zimbabwe is being exported, and does not feed the Zimbabwe people.. where is it being exported to...
.... its being exported to the starving people of other African countries!! You do realise that its not just Zimbabwe that has a famine on its hands?
So not only is Zimbabwe suffering the loss of revenue, it is also shortening the supply to an already starving Africa.

Your above post is typical of your ilk, African needs the west. Also, you seem to be suffering from a mental delusion which makes you believe that America was originally inhabited by whites, may I therefore suggest that you do more reading rather than engage in a deceptive revision of true and available historical facts.
All we want is simply our homes back and that we shall get no matter how long it takes - for it was written - as it was in the beginning so it shall be in the end. Catch my drift?? If not, go figure!

Yeh i do understand... in the beginning there was the earth, then somewhere along the line man came along, and claimed that the earth on which he lived belonged to him...lol
then for thousands of years man argued and fought over who really owned there relative bits of earth... and then in the end, man wiped himself out, much to the amusement of the earth.. which knew that nobody had ever 'owned' it in the first place.
As it was in the beginning , so shall it be in the end. No one owned the land in the beginning , and no one will own it in the end.
How we choose to live in between the beginning and the end is a different story altogether.

Kilner,
What exactly do you mean. Sometimes when people have nothing constructive to say, it's best they keep quite rather thn embarass themselves.

How can there be racial ownership of land? Think about it. How deep does the claim extend down, and where do the boundraries end? Three feet down? Six feet under?
