I may be moving to Joburg for a year for a job commitment. I am a avid ice hockey player and fan. I was wondering if there are ice rinks in ZA and if there are any mens ice hockey teams or leagues.

There's one in Durban but I don't know about anywhere else.

I play ice hockey here in London for a women's team and, as I'm planning to emigrate to SA in the fear future, I hope there are some more elsewhere around the country. It'd be a shame to have to give it up - guess you feel the same?

Thanks for the response Ruth. Durban is along way from pertoria. I sure hope there is a rink close bye. The thought of hanging up my skates for a year is really depressing. I still would have my roller blades but it is not even close to the real thing

Don't worry(i think).

There is an ice ring in the centre of Johannesburg(you better cross your fingers it never close down).

There is also an ice ring in Randburg. Thats about 20 minutes from Johannesburg centre.

Some of the Koh Samui villas are set on peaceful hills adjoining sea. So, when a sea wave hits the big boulders below, you are actually able to experience some butterflies in your stomachs. Such is the experience of the exotic locales where these Samui villas are located. The villas are located in peaceful places, but not much far from action. You can anytime visit the flee market to buy exotic sea shells, or belts made from fish’s skin for you dear and near ones.
