Just wanted to say a quick hey to everyone! I am just starting to learn Afrikaans and of course am having fun with some of the pronouciation. I keep looking at it and trying to say it with German sounds...I must break my bad habit =) Anyhow I looked around online for some of the books I saw mentioned here and am looking into getting those along with one that had an audio tape to it. I figure that would would be the next best thing seeing that I dont know anyone else who speaks it.

Anyhow take care!
Totsiens!

:-)

Pronounciation is indeed the hard part, isn't it? :-) I don't even try around Afrikaans speakers... It sounds highly amusing when spoken with a New Zealand English accent (Which I try to avoid doing, but it's amusing watching friends try)

Some of the Koh Samui villas are set on peaceful hills adjoining sea. So, when a sea wave hits the big boulders below, you are actually able to experience some butterflies in your stomachs. Such is the experience of the exotic locales where these Samui villas are located. The villas are located in peaceful places, but not much far from action. You can anytime visit the flee market to buy exotic sea shells, or belts made from fish’s skin for you dear and near ones.
