Hi sports fans! Golf is king over on this side of the Atlantic, and with Tiger Woods' recent victory at the British Open, it is now a very popular sport. Do South Africans enjoy playing golf, and if so, who are some famous sports heroes?

yes many s.africans like golf.
remember GARY PLAYER ?
do you know ERNIE ELS ?
they also enjoy other sports , such as boxing ( BRIAN MITCHELL ) , ( BABY JAKES MATLALA ) to mention but a few.
anway i always enjoy reading your comments ,questions and comments.

Thanks for the good wishes and compliments Carmad.
Gary Player, ah yes, he won the Masters Tournament back in the Seventies (Yours truly was a youngster then, so she does not remember the exact date). Don't know too much about Ernie Els other than the fact that Tiger Woods beat him by some 12 strokes in the U.S. Open.
Besides rugby, what are some other popular sports in SA?
