SOCCER MATCH CALLED OFF AFTER CROWD TROUBLE

A MISSILE-throwing crowd brought a premature end to the African Champions League match between Highlanders of Zimbabwe and Young Africans of Tanzania on Sunday. Frustration at seeing favourites Highlanders trail 2-0 in the second leg of a first-round tie boiled over with five minutes left when the visitors were awarded a penalty. There was no questioning the decision as Noel Kaseke fouled Ali Yusuf in the penalty area, but when Malawian referee Charles Kafatina pointed to the spot, bedlam broke out. Bottles and cans were flung on to the Barbourfields Stadium pitch and play was shortly abadoned.

Reminds me of when the Serb & Croats used to play in Toronto. We kept dodging their missile firworks aimed at us.

It's just soccer news. There has been a widespread problem with hooliginsm regarding soccer (football, correctly pronounced). It just goes to show you how heated the fans get and the violence that disrupts.

I suppose it's as easy as 1,2,3 to stop these people from being hooligans if one takes into the facts of there nature.
Once a long time ago my friend Nannete went to a football game and had a great time but she left early and missed all the trouble after the game.
Big crowds breed big trouble in sports of organized violence. Myself I do not go to watch but rather listen to games on TV or radio.
In closing Lilly is it true that John S. and Ungaro are retired?
