EVERY TIME I WATCH "THE POWER OF ONE" I GET UPSET AND ANGRY, EVEN THOUGH IT'S A MOVIE IT'S SO REAL AND I CANT HELP BUT REALLY WANT 2 HELP SOUTH AFRICANS.

most of us people know that we must learn to accept these weirdo posts from time to time, and what is show here about "africa" is just so stupid, what some people dont get is that there are ads here showing little black children who've never seen a round ball before. and then they ask for money because the governments are not feeding these children and not sendind them to school

what this little child doesnt know is that its all there for money. this little child knows nothing about south africa. Ive seen more racism in America and Canada then I've seen in South africa.

Who the hell is this little child and who would allow such crap out here. Please the apartheid. I have yet to here any southafrican ( black or white ) mention anything about this. Why I ask must outsiders such as myself bring up things that have been over with for several years. I am a born South African,I've lived in Cape Town all through the apartheid years. It is very sad but in the same breath I have an open mind that things will change for the better.We can only remind ourselfs that we went through the bad times, but what made us believe that we will be free;not Mandela, we as the people believed that there is a God stronger than Apartheid. Let me tell you what happened when I was a young child not older than 11y. My teacher told the class to wright a history paper about apartheid. He knew this was not legal but we still went ahead and wrote the paper. He called me up to the desk and told me to detroy my own paper, I asked him why?. His reply was we could go to jail for this paper of yours. I was very angry at the system for taking away my rights. I fought hard and long and lost many friends and family. I have many tales to tell but my time is up.

One should also be angry with colonization of Africa by the Europeans. This was done with evil intent, stealing land, denying rights and rewriting history were all evil acts done by the Europeans throughout the Continent. South Africa's apartheid system, was simply the personification of this evil. Many white South Africans are still affected by this system, they think what their ancestors did was right and that blacks do not have the rights to the land that was stolen from their ancestors. But the black South Africans will get what is rightfully theirs, hopefully it can be done peaceably, but if not, then it will be done by any means necessary. If you think this will not happen, then you are living in a fantasy world.

You may be well versed on European colonialism in Africa, but certainly not in South Africa in particular. I have come to this conclusion for several reasons (not only because you are ignorant of the coloured vs black issue):

1) South Africa has been independent since 1910.
2) The Boer republics had no "mother" country and all wealth remained in this country. (What do you think funded this countries 1st world infrastructure for one)?

As for land being stolen. True in some instances false in many more. Read up on Mfecane whose relevant result was that much of the South African interior was uninhabitated upon white settlement. Also most land was negotiated and in 1900 South Africa only had 1.5 million blacks.

Blacks stole most of the land from the KhoiSan, the rightful claimants of land taken centures ago.

QUESTION: What are white Americans?
